How Check-Ins Work
This documentation goes over how check-ins and reservations work
Overview
Check-ins and reservations are a fundamental part of Zentry Pass that enables employees to visit locations.
Reservation
Before an employee can visit a location, a reservation must be created.
Employees can create reservations by using the Zentry Pass mobile app.
Future releases of Zentry Pass will allow Employer Admins to create reservations in the dashboard
Check-In
After a reservation has been created, the employee can check-in to the workspace through the mobile app.
Check-ins record the location of the user and the time they checked-in.
Check-In Restrictions
- Geo Fenced:
Check-ins are geo-fenced. The user must enable location services on their mobile device, grant access to Zentry Pass, and must be within the allowed radius of the workspace.
After they check-in, we do not track their location.
- Within Reservation Window:
Check-in must occur within 6 hours of the reservation.
Check-Out
When an employee is finished at the workspace, they should check-out via the mobile app.
Just like check-in, check-outs record the location of the user and the time they checked-out.
Check-outs are not geo-fenced. Employees can check-out from anywhere.
Viewing Reservations and Check-Ins
Employee check-ins and reservations can be viewed at Zentry Pass > Select an Employee > Check-Ins and Reservations
Use the filters to get historical data or limit to a specific time frame.
Auto Check-Ins
If a reservation is not checked-in to within 30 minutes after the reservation date and time, then a check-in will automatically be made.
It is up to the employee and employer to manage their reservations.
Cancelling Reservations
Employees can cancel reservations in the mobile app.
